Delete your account

In the app

• Open You › Account › Delete account and confirm. The account is closed at once and everything we hold about it is erased within 30 days.
• You have 30 days to change your mind: sign in again with your password (in the app or on app.kynosis.com) and the deletion is cancelled and your saves come back; you get an e-mail about it. If that does not work, write to [email protected] from the account’s address and we reopen it. After 30 days it cannot be undone.

Without the app

Write from the email address of the account to [email protected] with the subject “Delete my account”. We confirm it is you by replying to that address, close the account and erase the data within 30 days. If you cannot reach that address any more, tell us what you can show that the account is yours.

What is erased

• Your account details, sign-in methods, passkeys and devices.
• Everything stored in Kynosis Cloud: saves, notes, images, audio, files, tags, collections, summaries and answers made from them.
• Support tickets, the settings of your server features and any change we made to your AI allowance.
• Files in storage are removed within hours of the rest. Backups of our database are kept for at most 35 days and then deleted; an erased account is removed again if a backup is ever restored.

What we keep

Records of a purchase (the App Store or Google Play transaction number and date) are kept as long as tax law requires. They are not linked to your saves, which are gone. The amounts of AI cost per day stay in our books, but the link to you is removed: they are a number with no name. Saves that live only on your phone are not on our servers: they stay on the phone until you remove them there.
