Terms of use

Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Natalia Siricenko, the individual developer of Kynosis (“we”), for the Kynosis app, the web app at app.kynosis.com and the related services. By using Kynosis you accept them. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ for your use of the iOS app, these terms add to it.

Your account

You need to be at least 16 to create an account. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app.

Your content

What you save stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, sync it, process it to make tags, summaries, transcripts and answers, and show it back to you. Save only what you have the right to keep. Do not use Kynosis to store or share illegal content, malware or material that infringes someone else’s rights, and do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.

Plans, subscriptions and trials

• Core is free. Kynosis Pro is an auto-renewing subscription, billed yearly or monthly through your Apple ID at the price shown before you confirm.
• The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions.
• If a free trial is offered, it becomes a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
• Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under its rules; request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• If Pro lapses you keep everything already made — only new Pro processing stops.

The assistant

The assistant, automatic tags, summaries and the weekly digest are part of Kynosis Pro. Tags, summaries, transcripts and answers are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. They cite the saves they read so you can check them; do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial or other professional decisions.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Kynosis available and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is” and may change or be interrupted. If we ever shut Kynosis down, we will give at least 60 days’ notice so you can export your archive.

Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms; where we can, we will tell you first and let you export your data.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss. If you are a consumer, you also keep all rights consumer law gives you.

Apple

These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any product or intellectual-property claims about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction, without taking away the protection of the law of the country you live in if you are a consumer. Questions: support@kynosis.com.
